The audio-only format is interesting! While I trust the instructors, I sometimes worry I'm not performing the exercises exactly right without a visual guide. Is there a reason LinSublim focuses on audio instruction over video demonstrations?

We understand the desire for visual aids! However, LinSublim Somatic lessons are designed to be audio-only for a specific reason. Research suggests that focusing solely on auditory instructions can actually improve your attention and sensory processing.
Here's the science behind it: Studies have shown that visual distractions can significantly hinder performance on tasks requiring touch perception (Ernst & Banks, 2002; Guest & Spence, 2003; Lederman et al., 1986) [^2]. This is because our brains prioritize information from the sense that provides the most reliable data in a given situation. In the case of LinSublim's somatic education, where precise body awareness is key, focusing on the instructor's audio guidance allows you to fully engage your sense of touch , interoception and proprioception (body awareness).
More than that, there's research that even things such as using your own voice to count down impacts sensorimotor performance.
While there are no video lessons, we offer alternative ways to enhance your learning:
By embracing the audio-only format, you can maximize the benefits of LinSublim's program and gain a deeper understanding of your body and movement patterns.
